Gorgeous is the best word to describe Beach House’s newest release.  What a way to start off 2010. Teen Dream is distinctly ‘70’s-tinged (Victoria Legrand’s vocals are reminiscent of a younger Stevie Nicks’), and the overall impression is light and breathy like a summertime breeze. There is an inherent sunshine and feeling of open space present in these songs, so stunningly beautiful that I want to laugh and cry and dance and run and sleep, all at once.  The power of this album rests in its ability to continue to echo in your mind long after you think you’re finished listening.
