Album: The Low End Theory - A Tribe Called Quest

An old album that never gets old, The Low End Theory is a must-have for anybody who considers themself a hip-hop fan.

Phife Dawg and Q-Tip are an unbeatable team, addressing jazz, date rape and positive vibrations, among other topics. The album starts out strong with the dark bass riff of “Excursions” and ends with the more upbeat bass riff of “Scenario.” This album features what became the Tribe trademark, the bass-heavy backbeat. Me being a bass junkie, of course I enjoy every track on this record.

Good headphones are a must to listen to this album properly, and no shuffling! Start with “Excursions” and end with “Scenario”, like the album was meant to be listened to.

Cheers.
